Hi! I’m a third-year Ecology and Conservation Biology student at Monash University, and I’m all about exploring environmental science and helping others along their academic journey. Coming from Sri Lanka, I’ve experienced the ups and downs of adjusting to life in a new country, so I totally get what it’s like to be in those shoes. My time at Monash has been amazing, from joining the Global Immersion Guarantee (GIG) program in Fiji to volunteering in the community. I’m excited to mentor because I want to share tips, offer encouragement, and be the support I wish I had when I started! My expertise: Transition to uni life smoother, Tackling environmental science topics, Embracing new cultures. As an Ecology and Conservation Biology student, I’ve dived into everything from biodiversity to conservation strategies and environmental impact assessments—perfect for anyone curious about the natural world. Plus, having navigated life as an international student, I know the ups and downs of settling into a new place and building resilience. I’m here to help students feel confident and supported as they take on both their studies and the exciting adventure of university life!
